DJ Muggs is known for his beats as a member of LA hip hop legends, Cypress Hill, but also a producer and studio engineer, plus he’s the leader of the hip hop and art collective Soul Assassins. Although he is most known for his work with Cypress Hill he is also a solo artist and has worked on his own music and mixtapes.
He has worked with such diverse musicians as Depeche Mode, GZA, Die Antwood, Funkdoobiest, U2, and even Janet Jackson. He was featured on all Cypress Hill albums, with the exception of one, Rise Up, from 2010, which was the groups first, and last album not produced by DJ Muggs.
With the Soul Assassins, formed in the late 90s, DJ Muggs has worked and collaborated with such artists as Dr. Dre, KRS-One, and Wyclef Jean, among others. He has also released two solo albums, Dust from 2003, andBass for Your Face, in 2013.
