Cannabis joints and blunts often will have a filter that creates a mouthpiece on one end. The filter is not like a cigarette filter, and it doesn’t filter the smoke. Instead, it merely stops the plant particles from pulling into your mouth as you smoke.
Filters for joints are made by rolling a small sturdy piece of paper into a tube and inserting it or rolling it into the end of a joint.
Filters can also be glass. A glass filter works similarly but is usually for larger-sized joints and blunts. Glass filters can be cleaned and reused.
A filter is sometimes called a clutch.
