I get my weed from California

The saying “I get my weed from California” was popularized by Justin Bieber in the song “Peaches,” from his 2021 album Justice.

The opening stanza and refrain of the song goes:

I got my peaches out in Georgia (oh, yeah, shit)
I get my weed from California (that’s that shit)
I took my chick up to the North, yeah (badass bitch)
I get my light right from the source, yeah (yeah, that’s it)

Bieber is referring to the fact that California weed is known to be the best weed in the United States and in the world, just as Georgia is known to produce the best peaches in the country.

Specifically, the Emerald Triangle of Northern California produces some of the finest genetics in the state, which trickle down into the cities through indoor growers.

Bieber released a limited-edition line of prerolls with the brand Palms. The pack of prerolls was named Peaches.
