Kief

Type: Terms

Kief is the term for the accumulated trichomes, or resin glands, sifted from cannabis flowers through a mesh screen or sieve. When the plant is growing, its trichomes secrete the sticky resin that contains THC, CBD, and terpenes. As it is the concentrated resin glands, kief is a potent form of cannabis and is therefore considered a type of solventless concentrate.

Three-tiered grinders include a lower compartment separated by a screen that collects keif from the ground flower that fills the chamber above.
