light dep

Type: Terms

Cannabis that is grown using sunlight can mimic techniques that indoor growers use by using tarps and shades to block the sun.

Light deprivation pushes cannabis plants to start the flowering process earlier than they would naturally, which speeds up production. Growers use shade cloth or other materials to allow in only 12 hours of sunlight, mimicking the amount of sun a plant would receive in a natural setting during the flowering phase.

Cannabis grown this way is sometimes referred to as deps.
