Mixed Light

Type: Terms

Mixed-Light means the use of both natural and artificial or supplemental lighting sources during the growing cycle to cultivate cannabis.

Mixed-light cultivators usually do not use artificial light as the sole light source. Rather, they use the sun as their primary source, and fill in the rest with supplemental electric lighting only when necessary.

The use of lights gives control over plants’ growth phase so that growers can have multiple harvests a year, but the artificial lighting is still usually only used when needed.
