On Friday August 26th at 3:33pm NBA Legend Scottie Pippen made an appearance at the Backpack Boyz LA dispensary to drop his No. 33 strain Sky Hook.
The strain is the second that Pippen produced with the Backpack Boyz, the first being 33. The No. 33 brand was born out of this initial collaboration, and the new strain expands on the brand’s offering.
Pippen says he’s excited to have his own strain for the second time.
“Feels great, this is the second one. It’s been a lot of fun. I think a lot of people have really enjoyed the flower. Hopefully we’ll get the same response with this drop,” Pippen said.
Fans lined up last Friday to cop the new strain and to catch a glimpse of the NBA Legend.

Pippen told us that he partnered with Backpack Boyz “through close friends. A lot of business gets down on the golf course,” he said.
Pippen said he’s excited to launch in the biggest weed city in the world.
“I’m very excited. Being here in LA, it’s a great fit,” Pippen said.
He’s a fan of weed, he says.
“I use it for a lot of different reasons. As we know cannabis helps in a lot different ways whether its pain, stress, you name it,” Pippen said.
The specific genetics of the new strain are a secret, but the badge of the Backpack Boyz in-house grower/breeder 5 Points lets you know that the weed is going to be fire.
It’s not the first time that the Backpack Boyz have teamed up with an icon of weed. Their strain/brand Uncle Snoop is a collaboration with Snoop Dogg.
