After years of releasing music with some top names in the underground scene, rapper Bully Wiz joined up with the Backpack Boyz weed brand. Today, the brand has grown up to be a powerhouse in the recreational market, while Bully Wiz the musician is at work on his first full-length album in years.
Cartel Money was originally a clothing brand, according to founder Brandon Maravilla. Even now as they’ve moved to selling weed the fashion element is a big part of what the brand represents. Once Cartel Money teamed up with the Backpack Boyz, the whole crew now reps merch for both brands.
Currently the Backpack Boyz drop fresh flavors on an almost weekly basis, and they’ve become known for doing collaborations with independent artists and brands. Their latest collaboration is the brand Uncle Snoop, with Snoop Dogg himself. Now they have three dispensaries open in the state, including two in highly competitive Los Angeles.
