At a special dinner event the new weed brand Gotti dropped several new strains exclusively at GOAT Global. The event took place at GOAT Global Westwood on Sunday, August 6th. Customers could join after purchasing Gotti products from the shop below.
The drop comes fresh off Gotti’s win for the flower category for the strain Seabiscuit at Transbay IV LA Qualifier.
It was a great turn out to support a brand that is fairly new to the scene, having only launched on the rec market this year.
Gino, founder of Gotti, explains that he and Gotti have strong ties to New York, where the brand is also premiering. He’s building a brand in both New York and California simultaneously, which is no small feat. He says he already has a following in New York thanks to his deep roots there–the Gotti family is well known in the U.S. for their former ties to the Mob.
Here in California, Gino says he has to move a bit more cautiously and accept that building a following takes time. Gotti has made itself widely known in part by generously sponsoring events (and Visit Hollyweed’s newspaper) in California to build brand recognition. It’s been working.
He first launched Gotti this year at Cookies, and is now in over 20 stores in LA.
For GOAT Global, Gotti brought out two additional strains that will be exclusive to the shop initially.
Strains dropped on Sunday were Zatti, Mulberriez, Blue Sapphire, Godfather OG, and Rainbow Ice.
Gino says Mulberriez is particularly interesting as a pheno he hunted and is bringing to market.
Cop the new at GOAT Global Westwood and find Gotti in shops around LA.
